Pillow Talk Swap 3

I finished my pillow top for The Pillow Talk Swap, and I really hope my partner likes it!

I alternated Bright Hopes blocks: a print center surrounded by gray strips and gray centers surrounded by strips pieced with prints.I used the same pattern as the one I used for this 16" mini quilt top:

Pillow Talk Swap 3 has been a blast and so inspirational!  Definitely check out the flickr group if you haven't already!

With wishes, true and kind -- Joan

  2. This is a great tutorial! I get it, I get it! Yay! Your pillow is so gorgeous - your partner is quite lucky. I love the combination of black and grey fabrics. And I love the way you alternated the fabrics for the blocks. Oh yeah, I love that you didn't fussy cut the center square, especially since this is a partial seam block. Totally want to make this now!

  5. It's so nice to see partial seams explained so clearly. I've done this with quilt borders but was really flying by the seat of my pants - it's great to see that my instincts weren't too far off! Beautiful beautiful pillow. Love it.

  6. Loving the yellow and the gray. I have been refraining from purchasing some that has been calling to me until I get caught up enough to justify it!!! ;0) Great job with the tute! Never done partial seams, but I am willing to try!
