Bee Blocks of Summer

My bee block months are June and August (2 separate bees), and you may remember that I'm having the same blocks made for each month (with inspiration and tutorial by Little Miss Shabby), so I should end up with 24 blocks in all.  The June blocks are starting to arrive, and I'm getting my fabric kits ready to mail for the August blocks.

I tried to quickly capture my first few arrivals before nightfall, then decided to check the mailbox.  Guess what?  More blocks.

Bee blocks at dusk.

Either way, I think these blocks are the start of something great.

  11. Every time I see these blocks I think about all those teeny tiny pieces and seams! But the finished blocks are so wonderful that I'm sure I'll give it a go at some point. Love that you have two bees doing them so that you can get so many beautiful blocks back!

  15. This is going to be a stunning quilt. And smart to do it bee block-style where you get lots of help with all those little teeny pieces! Plus lots of interesting fabric. All those colors just pop against that gray. Love.Love!
