The start of something...wonky!

Does everyone know about the great quilting groups on flickr? Below is a sneak peek of my fabric strips for the Old Red Barn Wonky Log Cabin Quiltalong led by John (Quilt Dad). Take a look and consider joining in the fun. They are all Amy Butler, but from at least five different lines: Gypsy Caravan, Charm, Temple Flowers, Midwest Modern 2, and Daisy Chain. Can't wait to see how they look as wonky log cabins.

Now I’m off to shower (finally) and get ready for a quick trip to the beach house. We leave in a couple of hours and will host extended family for a day at the beach and fabulous dinner (featuring grilled salmon, caught by my husband, and marinated flank steak) tomorrow, then back to town for a wedding on Sunday. I hope to be able to squeeze in a little sewing sometime!

And don’t forget about my Anna Maria Horner fabric giveaway. Just look at the post below this one. See you soon!

With wishes, true and kind -- Joan
