...things are piling up
or hanging over me:
Backs to be made, quilts to be quilted.
Pieces of fabric to be sewn together both large
and small.
BOMs and Bee blocks to attend to --
Blocks to be mailed (left) and a block to remake (right).
And always fabrics, patterns, and colors to be played with; books to be read:
Isn't it great to be a quilter?!?!
All I need now is TIME.
And perhaps a professional organizer....
With wishes, true and kind -- Joan
PS -- in case you noticed missing pieces from the City Park quilt, they fell off my below par makeshift design wall and fell onto the mattress of the trundle bed below. I can't even blame this one on the cats!
I get so overwhelmed when I look around my sewing room and project list that deeply! There's just never enough time, is there? Looks like fun!
ReplyDeleteOh Wow! I love all your pieces in progress Joan and I'm sure we have a fairly similar stash. I know we say it every year, but this year is going even faster, aarrgghh! xo
ReplyDeletehaahaa...that just makes me giggle. i completely understand the chaos created by the lack of time! Wouldn't it be nice to have someone to organize and clean up behind you???
ReplyDeleteIsn't chaos the sign of creativity? I just love this post, you are much like us all.
ReplyDeletelol, that looks like my sewing room :)
ReplyDeleteIt IS great to be a quilter!!! Is it piles or pleasure, stuff or stash, bliss or bother...?! It's a matter of perspective, no? I see some AWESOME AB LOVE and peeks of Kaffe in there + Kona solids = a big delicious dilemma...!!!??? ; ) Dig in and have a BlAsT!!!
ReplyDeleteif I had a proper sewing room, it would look like that. I am amazed that so far since I got the Janome machine (for one plus years), I have stuck to one project till finish minus the binding.
ReplyDeleteseem's you are such a normal quilt gal! Aint't it the BEST?!!
ReplyDeleteLOL
ReplyDeleteIt looks like Heaven to me! I think what you need is a few Fairy god-quilters to help you catch up!
...I volunteer! even though there's nothing fairy-like about me, I would love to spend the day 'helping' and visiting with you and your fabrics!
:)
Isn't that normal? You are not alone, most of my projects are out of sight, probably not a good thing. One day I'll probably come across something that I totally forgot I had.
ReplyDeleteLol. A glimpse at paradise! I so understand why the cats just jump right in and roll in it, wallow in it, sleep in it...
ReplyDeleteoh, looks like you're surrounded by so much goodness! i love a busy space!
ReplyDeletePick me! I will help organize (but watch my sticky fingers!) and bring you your beverage of choice to you when you need it. LOL
ReplyDeleteWhat I wouldn't give for some of your fabrics to come live at my house.
Oh, Joan, I would send you time if I could too! Time to quilt, organize, play, rest. Hang in there!
Joan, YES, it is great to be a quilter!!!! I love seeing all that you have going on. It makes me feel right at home!
ReplyDeleteI could have written this post myself. Love the City Park quilt. All those luscious solids...all that gorgeous fabric. Is there anything better than being surrounded by fabric? Such good therapy!
ReplyDeleteWow you do have a lot on the go. Its good to see I'm not alone! I love the park city quilt, and those wonky log cabin blocks are just gorgeous.
