Everywhere I look...

...things are piling up

or hanging over me:
Backs to be made, quilts to be quilted.

Pieces of fabric to be sewn together both large

and small.

BOMs and Bee blocks to attend to --

Blocks to be mailed (left) and a block to remake (right).

And always fabrics, patterns, and colors to be played with; books to be read:

Isn't it great to be a quilter?!?!

All I need now is TIME.

And perhaps a professional organizer....

With wishes, true and kind -- Joan

PS -- in case you noticed missing pieces from the City Park quilt, they fell off my below par makeshift design wall and fell onto the mattress of the trundle bed below.  I can't even blame this one on the cats!

  1. I get so overwhelmed when I look around my sewing room and project list that deeply! There's just never enough time, is there? Looks like fun!

  6. It IS great to be a quilter!!! Is it piles or pleasure, stuff or stash, bliss or bother...?! It's a matter of perspective, no? I see some AWESOME AB LOVE and peeks of Kaffe in there + Kona solids = a big delicious dilemma...!!!??? ; ) Dig in and have a BlAsT!!!

  7. if I had a proper sewing room, it would look like that. I am amazed that so far since I got the Janome machine (for one plus years), I have stuck to one project till finish minus the binding.

  9. LOL
It looks like Heaven to me! I think what you need is a few Fairy god-quilters to help you catch up!

...I volunteer! even though there's nothing fairy-like about me, I would love to spend the day 'helping' and visiting with you and your fabrics!
    :)

  10. Isn't that normal? You are not alone, most of my projects are out of sight, probably not a good thing. One day I'll probably come across something that I totally forgot I had.

  11. Lol. A glimpse at paradise! I so understand why the cats just jump right in and roll in it, wallow in it, sleep in it...

  13. Pick me! I will help organize (but watch my sticky fingers!) and bring you your beverage of choice to you when you need it. LOL

What I wouldn't give for some of your fabrics to come live at my house.

Oh, Joan, I would send you time if I could too! Time to quilt, organize, play, rest. Hang in there!

  15. I could have written this post myself. Love the City Park quilt. All those luscious solids...all that gorgeous fabric. Is there anything better than being surrounded by fabric? Such good therapy!
