I've been making progress this weekend on my Bee Hexed In blocks.
A finished block for Brioni (flossy blossy):
My favorite part of this block is the striped sashing between the solid blue strips.
Progress on and sneak peaks at my block for Chris (izzy inspired):
I'm just starting to pull fabrics for Brooke (april two eighty):
The block pattern for the Bee Hexed In group is based on Tacha's (hanies quilts) pillow cover pattern in Fat Quarterly, Issue 1 - Fresh Start:
These blocks require a little time, but I love putting them together. It's going to be fun to see how they look in all the different color palettes month by month.
I hope everyone is having a fabulous Sunday!
With wishes, true and kind -- Joan
Beautiful blocks!
ReplyDeleteVery nice hexagon blocks.I have been part of a stitch a long by Helen in Australia and we did mini hexagons as part of the wee Round Robin.
ReplyDeleteYou are so good at making these and arranging the best fabrics together. Both blocks are quite lovely; the latter one is especially elegant looking, which I love.
ReplyDeleteI love that narrow strip between the other 2 as well-on both blocks! Beautiful job!
ReplyDeleteI agree, that striped mini border is wonderful--and, I don't know how often I have almost hit submit on that gray houndstooth!--It looks great! =)
ReplyDeleteAll the blocks are lovely. I'm drawn to the browns which surprised me because it's not a colour I work with much.
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful!! I really love the idea of top stitching them down. How fun is that?
ReplyDeleteGreat blocks -- I have been working on a hexagon paper quilt pattern for over a year now!
