Something for everyone

Two swaps that I have participated in have drawn to a close.
This is the wonderful package that I received from Sarah (Mumblings):
Aren't the hexies great?  And look at that awesome fabric and adorable pouch!
Thanks so much, Sarah!

You may remember the hexies I sent off --
but I can now tell you that they were received by Julie (jaybirdquilts).

I haven't received my gathered clutch yet, but the one I sent to Kirsten (threedancingmagpies) was received today.  I think it's pretty sweet that her little daughter fell in love with it...

and the hexies that were inside.

Here Ellie counts the hexies, proving that they are both fun and educational.
Be sure to check out Kirsten's lovely blog, three dancing magpies

Yes, all the cool kids are playing with hexies.
Cindy's grandson demonstrates the cool factor while helping to keep Cindy organized.
Note the cool shades and "tat".
Cindy does fabulous things with selvages, so check out her blog, live a colorful life, too.

Thank you Kirsten and Cindy for allowing me to share your wonderful pictures.

And thank you to Terri -- SewFantastic -- for recently giving me some Heather Ross love:
I can't believe she's going to leave us soon!  Oregon's loss is California's gain!

And speaking of showing some love, I have received a little bit of recognition in the past week (aw, shucks!).

First, Jennifer Paganelli featured my gathered clutch made from Sis Boom fabrics on her fabulous blog.
And then a Turkish site featured the same clutch yesterday.

And the lime, gray, and black clutch was featured on Craft Gossip.
Thank you Jennifer, 10 marifet.org, and Craft Gossip.

I'll leave you with a few pictures from  events I attended last weekend.

We went to a murder mystery dinner at this gorgeous estate Saturday night.

The setting was just perfect.

Sunday night's event was held at this Ponzi Vineyards bistro -- wine tasting and antipasti.

With wishes, true and kind -- Joan

  7. Nothing but eye candy on this post. Gorgeous photography, Joan!!

Your clutches are so great. I'm glad they are getting the exposure they deserve. (And aren't you glad you can now put in a zipper with ease? I may have some questions about that...)

  8. Congrats on the recognition! The clutches are very lively and beautiful - how quickly you became an expert in them! I am trying to decide whether I'm more jealous of your pics of Ponzi or the Heather Ross fabrics - they are both tremendous treats!
